Sustainability Challenge Grants

The Sustainability Challenge Grant (SCG) program, now in its ninth year, is designed to engage multidisciplinary teams from the University community to foster scholarly, creative, and research projects that promote sustainability, advance field(s) of study, while simultaneously advancing economic vitality, ecological integrity and social equity. This year we encourage proposals that address intersections with the challenges that have emerged during the pandemic and/or issues related to the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of the University. See here for a five-year review of the program's impact!

The program is a collaborative effort of the President’s Sustainability Advisory CommitteeThe Tracy Farmer Institute for Sustainability and the Environment , and the Office of Sustainability. Funding support for the program is provided by the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Provost, the Vice President for Research, and the Student Sustainability Council.
