Sustainability Festival

UK's annual Sustainability Festival will take place at Greg Page fields near the soccer pitch and playground on Tuesday, September 15 from 5:30-7:00pm. Exhibitors from campus and the community will come with interactive activities for our students, faculty, staff, and their families to engage with! Expect to see groups such as Water Quality, UK Recycling, Entomology, Campus Kitchen, Live Green Lex, and more!

Urban Forest Initiative Fall Seminar: Dan Potter Ph.D.

Dr. Daniel A. Potter is a Professor Emeritus of Entomology at the University of Kentucky, where he spent over 40 years establishing an internationally recognized program in urban landscape and turfgrass entomology.  His groundbreaking research focuses on balancing urban plant health with environmental stewardship, particularly through urban pollinator conservation, the "Trees for Bees" project, and pesticide risk mitigation. This year’s Showcase will be hosted in the Healthy Kentucky Research Building on Wednesday, October 14th from 5:30-7:30pm. The event is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.   The Showcase is a celebration of the incredible sustainability work happening across campus - from research and student initiatives to operations and community engagement.
