Join us on April 14th for our 6th annual Sustainability Summit at the University of Kentucky Gatton Student Center. The Summit brings together community and business leaders seeking to move the sustainability needle and enact change in their own communities.
Small plates, big conversations. This month’s Tapas & Topics invites you to explore sustainability and environmental citizenship... what it means, why it matters, and how we can all take action.
Join us for this edition as we reflect together, share perspectives, and think about how we can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Join us for a screening of the short film "River Cowboys", a film documenting the cleanup of a local stream by an eastern Kentucky community member. Followed by a discussion and Q&A with Laura Gregory of the Kentucky Waterways Alliance.

For one year, Robin Greenfield is foraging every bite of his food and medicine. A year without grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies or even a garden. “Nature” is his garden!
Is it possible to eat in harmony with Earth and live in reciprocity? Robin wholeheartedly believes so and is putting this love and devotion for Earth into bold action as he harvests the food and medicine that is growing freely and abundantly all around us.
Community members are invited to a free screening of the documentary Microplastic Madness, an optimistic take on the plastic pollution crisis as told through the eyes of a group of school children. Common Threads LEX, a new sustainability-focused partnership between the City of Lexington, the University of Kentucky and Fayette County Public Schools, is hosting the screening. This is Common Threads LEX’s inaugural event.
