Sustainability Symposium
This annual spring sustainability symposium recognizes the work of the students in the Sustainability Internship Program. Programming will be as follows:
- Opening comments
- Student poster session, food, and mingling
- Student Excellence in Sustainability Awards (campus-wide, nominations due Sun, Apr 5)
- Comments from Justin Mog
- Dr. Justin Mog is a Quaker interdisciplinary sustainability scientist with Environmental Studies & Geology degrees from Oberlin College and the University of Wisconsin. Justin has served as a Fulbright scholar (Philippines 2001), Peace Corps Volunteer (Paraguay 2005-2008), and UofL’s Assistant to the Provost for Sustainability Initiatives since 2009. In 2017, Justin co-founded Louisville’s community station Forward Radio WFMP 106.5fm, and hosts Sustainability Now! weekly. He seeks an Earth restored and lives his life accordingly – car-free, flight-free, TV-free, vegetarian, beekeeping, gardening, and solar-powered.
