Thrift Pop-up Shop

Come on out to UK Recycling’s 8th annual Thrift Shop Pop-Up in partnership with Student Organizations and Activities and Wildcat Wardrobe. UK students will be able to replenish their wardrobes for free while also reusing clothing items that might’ve otherwise ended up in the landfill. Clothing, ties, purses, hats, and belts will all be available.
University of Kentucky students have been making a difference across campus through the UK Sustainability Internship Program and Student Sustainability Council. Over the last 11 years, student-led research and projects have included creating a Waste Reduction Week focused on the importance of waste issues, highlighting student art related to climate change and revitalizing campus landscaping through tree planting events and garden design.
Get ready, Wildcats! The Thrifty Cat is holding the first Thrifty's Pop-up at the 90. Thrift with us on March 6th at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. All of the fun will take place on the 2nd floor in room 202.

To help raise awareness for climate action across America, the Lewis Honors College, the Tracy Farmer Institute for Sustainability and the Environment, and the Student Sustainability Council are hosting the Climate Change Quilt project on February 17.
From 2 PM - 4 PM, Mischen will lead a workshop on quilting “to amplify the voices of all those concerned about climate change” in the Lewis Scholars Lounge.
Come to the grand opening of The Thrifty Cat--UK's new campus resource for students--on October 17th at 3pm! This donation-based program offers items like furniture, decor, clothing, and textbooks to UK students for free.
