This year’s Showcase will be hosted in the Healthy Kentucky Research Building on Wednesday, October 15th from 5:30-7:30pm. The event is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.
The Showcase is a celebration of the incredible sustainability work happening across campus - from research and student initiatives to operations and community engagement. Join us to connect with passionate students, faculty, and staff who are shaping a more sustainable future at UK. Highlights include:
- Presentations from the FY2025 Sustainability Challenge Grant recipients
- Displays from UK’s sustainability-focused student organizations, working groups, and initiatives
- A juried student poster competition, in partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Research
- Brief remarks on the "State of Sustainability" at UK
- The announcement of the FY2026 Challenge Grant recipients
- UK’s Annual Sustainability Awards
Student Research Poster Competition
Graduate and undergraduate students are invited to submit an abstract and poster in a new sustainability research poster competition held in conjunction with the annual UK Sustainability Showcase on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 5:30-7:30pm.
UK Sustainability and the Office of Undergraduate Research are partnering to offer an opportunity for students in all majors to submit their sustainability-related research as a poster for a general audience. Judges with relevant expertise will review all posters and winners will be selected for both undergraduate and graduate categories.
